Rural Communities Trust University Scholarships for Rural Students
The Rural Communities Trust and Transpower NZ Ltd have announced the Transpower Educational Scholarship grants awarded to rural students for 2008.
The total awarded this year to five recipients was $5,000, with individual grants of $1,000.
The successful students are:
Cameron Moratti who is studying towards a Bachelor of Civil engineering
Thomas Bridgeman who is studying Accounting & Economics
Kasey Moratti who is studying towards a Bachelor of Pharmacy
Ryan Moore who is studying towards a Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science
Successful applicants must be from a rural background, have a proven academic record, a commitment to study and successfully demonstrate an ability to balance study with sport or recreation. Preference is generally given to students studying Electrical Engineering.
